The last chapter and conclusion to video games’ one of the most popular and celebrated saga is expected to hit the shelves on September 20, 2011. The Gears of War 3 release date has been moved from the originally announced due date of April 2011. Developed by Epic Games and published by Microsoft Games, Gears of War 3 is still the same well-received third-person shooter exclusive for the Xbox 360. But probably aiming for a triumphant “last return”, this game has definitely been chunked up with new features and new characters.
Players head on the game still as Marcus Fenix, war hero and the leader of the Delta Squad. It takes Fenix eighteen months after the demise of Jacinto, the last human city and the battle against the Locust still continues. However, their battle might cease due to the rise of a new enemy that threatens the entire human race. The Gears of War 3 will enable a four-player co-op, a never before seen feature. In line with the new co-op feature, five new characters would be introduced. One thing to be excited more about the Gears of Wars 3 release date is the arrival of the new mode called Beast mode that enables players to play as the Locust creatures instead of COG members. As Locusts, players can attack humans and upgrade their character to higher ranks of Locust. The game visuals are also sure to immerse the players in the Gears of War 3 world. The game was first unveiled on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon by Cliff Bleszinki, Epic Games’ design director, on April 2010 with a teaser trailer. There was no formal reason given by both Epic Games and Microsoft Games, except that it was a “business decision” between the partners.
