The one-army babe magnet is back! The fifth installment, entitled Duke Nukem Forever, in the long running Duke Nukem franchise is set to return this year and let players step once again into the egotistical, machismo shoes of the protagonist. The new Duke Nukem release date is on June 14, 2011. The upcoming first-person shooter revives the franchise after a long hiatus. Fans can expect the return of a vast game world, over-the-top crude humor and outlandish settings that they have grown to love in the previous installments.
Riding the fame that saving the Earth brought him, Duke has been kicking back and enjoying his dirty leisure activities. He won’t enjoy it for much long though, for the aliens are back to steal Earth’s women and drink his beer! Players will control Duke, as soon as the Duke Nukem release date comes, as he battles his way through the aliens and reclaim his playground, Earth.
Come the new Duke Nukem release date, players will control Duke Nukem once again, armed with a bunch of new hilarious one-liners and his badass self. Who says gamers have to shoot and kill for the entirety of the game? They can spend their sweet time exploring the Duke Nukem world, lifting weights and playing games. When they tire of that, they can go back to the game’s core – which is wild first-person shooter action. The game is also packed with hilarious and sometimes humiliating game modes. In one, players can shrink their opponent and squash them with their foot. Then there is the controversial ‘Capture the Babe’ mode, which created quite a stir with some offended parties. Maybe it even contributed to the constant postponement of the Duke Nukem release date for 13 years? We can only assume.
Duke Nukem Forever is available for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft PC. The game is available in standalone, but there is also the limited collector’s Balls of Steel Edition.
